Shuvah Yisrael is a synagogue on the edge of history. Comprising Jews from all walks of life, members are unified in our recognition that Israel's greatest son Yeshua, commonly known as Jesus, is the Messiah of Jews and gentiles together. But Shuvah Yisrael is more than a religious concept. It is a warm and welcoming community, a gathering of people eager to meet the spiritual yearnings and practical needs of themselves, their children and the world about them. Shuvah is an oasis where people can reclaim the meaningful relationships that our creator intended us to have with Him and each other. Under the spiritual direction of Rabbi Paul L. Saal since 1994, Shuvah Yisrael is a member of the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations (UMJC).

Why I Like Shuvah?

I am a Jewish woman who believes that Yeshua is the Messiah and I feel that I have a specific calling to be here and to raise my children as Messianic Jews. And I just thank G-d that I have an opportunity to worship, as I believe.     ~ Robbie Saal

When my husband, a Jewish man, and I, a gentile, became engaged 17 years ago we knew it would be important to choose how our family would worship. Messianic Judaism has been the perfect choice for us. Our daughter Celina is able to worship Yeshua as her messiah and be enriched by her Jewish heritage. Shuvah Yisrael is our family and we're proud to call it our spiritual home.     ~ Elaina, Marc and Celina Kestecher

Shuvah Yisrael is my mishpucha, my family. I was raised in this Synagogue where I received my Jewish education in Hebrew school and through my experiences in our observant community. What's more I met some of my best friends and grew up beside them. Now that I am myself a mother, I am a member of Shuvah Yisrael and a regular attendee with my daughter in tow. My desire is to bring her up in the loving community that I have been so blessed to be a part of. Already I can see her joy in listening to the music and interacting with everyone on Shabbat and at events. It is a beautiful thing to witness. ~ Stephanie

When I became engaged, I moved here and started attending with my fiance, who is Jewish. I found a worship here that I didn’t find at the church I was attending growing up.      ~ Jennifer Rotblatt

The teaching at Shuvah is amazing, it is the link between the Jewish world and the Christian world .      ~ Ernest Jalbert

It is so important for our children and grandchildren to experience the sacredness and richness of our Jewish heritage.  I bring my grandson each week, knowing that what he what he is learning at Shuvah will stay with him as an adult, and that he can pass down to future generations.      ~ Gail Byers

I am a gentile and a Christian.  In order to better understand Jesus' words in context, I welcomed the opportunity to grow and learn under Shuvah's excellent teachers. I have even begun to learn Hebrew!      ~ Susan Olson

I grew up attending church with my mom and decided that it wasn’t the right place for me so I started following my family’s original religion, Judaism.   ~Hart Rotblatt

For 32 years we belonged to a church that emphasized the Jewish Holy Days but something was missing.  Then a friend told me told us about Shuvah Yisrael. Now we can attend a synagogue that has a full Torah service and practice Judaism with other Jews who believe in Yeshua. Our Judaism and faith in Yeshua have come together in a meaningful way, and we have never been happier. On top of this the people are really friendly. What a bonus!     ~ Henry and Joyce Gutterman

Shuvah is a community of people who reach out to one another to help & share in times of celebration, hardship, loneliness, and sorrow. At times people need to be comforted, hugged, or simply receive a word of encouragement, or to share a meal. This is a community that expresses its love inside and outside the four walls of our sanctuary. At Shuvah I am free to be the Jewish person God intended me to be – to experience the Jewish flavors, music, worship, and way of life. It is refreshing to be part of a community that encourages us to practice TORAH lifestyle.    ~Roberta Revzon
